The Ross Model:
A Comprehensive Cross-Sector Framework for National Resilience

Integrating EmotionAid®, Somatic Experiencing®, and Conflict Resolution for real-time healing across nine social sectors.

What is the Ross Model?

The Ross Model, developed by Gina Ross, MFCT, is a (national) framework for national trauma healing and resilience building.
It combines field-tested tools and strategies to help people (calm their nervous system), recover from stress and trauma, rebalance their nervous system and prevent cumulative trauma and burnout, working at both individual and institutional levels.

Used across nine key social sectors that interface with trauma, it creates a shared language of emotional regulation that strengthens communities and supports collective long-term healing.

Three Core Components

  1. EmotionAid®(EA™) and EmotionAid™/Basic SE® (EA/BSE®) – (EA™) quick, easy-to-use self-regulation tools for individuals (and teams), applicable ON THE SPOT, anytime, anywhere. (EA™/BSE®) to use on self and help others.

  2. Somatic Experiencing® – a globally recognized body/mind-based method for resolving trauma at its source.

  3. Free From Conflict Protocol – a conflict resolution process based on Universal Basic Needs, fostering cooperation and long-term peace.

Together, these components form a scalable, evidence-based system that turns survival mode into resilience, and resilience into lasting societal healing.

Whether you’re facing incessant daily pressure, (a panic) missiles attacks and war, or any (a) high-stakes situation, EmotionAid®/Basic SE® empowers you to respond with clarity, calm, (and) self-control and effectiveness.

I learned more about slowing down and the natural rhythm of the body. It’s the first method that I I learned where I feel that I want to drink more and more of it. Thank you to all.

TO

It’s a new language. That I don’t know. It is challenging and fascinating. I feel that I have a bigger container. Lots of new knowledge. Compassion, modesty, positive, optimistic. It gives me hope.

AK

it brings a lot of humility. I learned clearly how effective the session is and that what comes up is different from my agenda. It’s just for me to have the ability to hold the space. It all fell into place.

AG

I feel a profound gratitude. I learned about my body and the richness of life it brings. I am also delighted that working with traumatized clients can be so flowing and joyful, and can give so much more energy.
